crisis team, was tapped by O'Dwyer's to contribute to
its January special issue on crisis communications. This
issue asked crisis experts across the country for their perspective
on lessons learned in 2010 and trends to watch for 2011.
"Anyone with something to hide or a reputation to protect should
prepare for the worst. Even if you don't want to participate in
social media, a third party-be it WikiLeaks or your
ex-secretary-may bring your brand into the limelight without asking
your permission," said McCown.
