SM& LEADERS PREP SCHOOLS ON CRISIS MANAGEMENT

SM& President and CEO Helene Solomon and Executive Vice President Ashley McCown — experts in crisis planning and management — recently tackled these types of situations before a select group of elementary and secondary school trustees and heads of school at the Association of Independent Schools in New England (AISNE) Governance Conference.
Helene and Ashley examined real-life crisis situations and outlined the challenges and outcomes of each. Running each crisis through their filters, they explored the media coverage surrounding the events and provided expert analysis and guidance on how schools can best prepare for and react to sensitive, controversial, news-making circumstances before they find themselves in one.
