MASSACHUSETTS GOVERNOR'S HIGHWAY SAFETY BUREAU AWARDS CONTRACT TO SOLOMON MCCOWN & COMPANY AND ARGUS FOR MULTI-YEAR INTEGRATED CAMPAIGN
Boston (December 10, 2004) — Following a highly competitive process, Solomon McCown and Company (SM&) and ARGUS have been apppointed agencies of record for the Governor's Highway Safety Bureau (GHSB) a program of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety. SM& a public relations firm known for strategic public relations on behalf of major brands and issues, and ARGUS a Latino-owned advertising firm with a successful track record in mainstream advertising, social and mulitcultural marketing will implement a fully-integrated campaign to increase safety belt use and reduce impaired and aggressive driving/speeding in Massachusetts. Annual budget is estimated at $2 million.
SM& and ARGUS will work closely with GHSB to plan integrated public relations, marketing and media programs to support successful National Highway Traffic Safety Administration campaigns, including Click It or Ticket and You Drink & Drive, You Lose. Statewide efforts will include market research, events, media and community relations, brand identity, and broadcast advertising.

of Public Safety, is responsible for reducing motor vehicle related fatalities
and injuries, and the resulting economic loss in the Commonwealth. The GHSB

belts, child safety seat and booster seat use, the hazards of aggressive driving
and speeding, as well as bicycle, motorcycle and pedestrian safety.
