ADRIA GOODSON -- DIRECTOR OF DOMESTIC PROGRAMS, HUNT ALTERNATIVES FUND
As director of Domestic Programs for Hunt Alternatives Fund, Adria Goodson is primarily responsible for Prime Movers: Cultivating Social Capital-a multi-year fellowship program for emerging and established social movement leaders working at the national level.
Throughout her career, Adria has focused on strategically advancing efforts related to social justice issues. She worked directly with a number of foundations and nonprofits, including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Afterschool Project, The Hestia Fund, Resource Generation, and the Boston College Media Research and Action Projectto; she published a chapter entitled " Building Bridges , Building Leaders: Theory, Action and Lived Experience" in the book Rhyming Hope and History: Activists, Academics, and Social Movement Scholarship ; and she participated in activist efforts led by the Industrial Areas Foundation in Chicago. Adria has her PhD in sociology from Boston College and is a member of the Boston College Movement Research and Action Project.
