COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS FOR OLDER ADULTS (CPFOA)
Advancing a Dialogue, Making The Connection

SM& worked with Community Partnerships for Older Adults (CPFOA), a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) that helps communities develop leadership and innovative solutions to meet the needs of older adults over the long term.

Our charge was to leverage the work of CPFOA and its 16 grantees across the country to advance the dialogue on long-term care alternatives in the U.S. and link those efforts to RWJF's overall Vulnerable Populations messaging. We conducted a communications audit and strategic messaging session, developed a messaging platform, and then created and executed breakout sessions for grantees on messaging and communications tactics at CPFOA's annual meeting.

Our high-level media relations efforts resulted in two USA Today placements, one for CPFOA and one for its grantee in Binghamton, New York. In addition, we planned and executed a media tour in Washington, D.C. with CPFOA and high-level reporters at USA Today, Washington Post, The Boston Globe, among others.
